Terms of Service
Last updated
You can use Shipi Tracking to track your own shipments and show your customers where their parcels are. Plans limit how many lookups you make each month and how many storefronts you connect. Don't resell the API or scrape it. Either side can end the agreement at any time, and you can export your data on the way out.
The agreement
These terms are between you — the business holding the account — and Aarsiv Groups, trading as Shipi. By creating an account you accept them. If you are accepting on behalf of a company, you are confirming you may bind it.
What the service does
Shipi Tracking resolves parcel status from carriers and presents it on tracking pages and widgets carrying your branding. It is a separate product from Shipi Shipping, with its own plans, on the same account.
Carrier data comes from carriers. We present what they report, as they report it. We cannot promise that a carrier's data is accurate, complete or timely, and a parcel's real location is always a matter between you and your carrier.
Plans and limits
Each plan sets a monthly lookup allowance and a number of connected storefronts — one on the free plan, rising with paid plans. Connecting more storefronts than your plan allows is refused rather than billed as an overage, so you are never surprised by an invoice.
Parcels shipped through Shipi Shipping are tracked at no cost against your allowance. You pay only for tracking numbers that come from outside Shipi.
We may change prices with 30 days' notice by email. A price change never applies to a period you have already paid for.
What you agree not to do
- Resell, sublicense or redistribute access to the tracking API, or present it as your own product.
- Scrape the free tools, automate them, or work around their rate limits. They are there for people tracking parcels, not for harvesting.
- Track parcels that are not yours or your customers', or use the service to gather information about somebody else's shipments.
- Upload customer data you do not have a lawful basis to process, or use it for anything beyond fulfilling the order it relates to.
- Attempt to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to the service.
Your data, and your customers'
You keep ownership of everything you put in. We process it on your instructions to run the service, as set out in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
Where you give us your customers' details, you confirm you are entitled to and that you have told them how their data is used. You are the controller of that data; we are your processor.
Availability
We aim for high availability but do not offer a contractual uptime guarantee on any plan unless one is separately agreed in writing. Maintenance is announced in advance where it is planned.
Carrier outages are the common cause of a lookup failing, and they are outside our control. When a carrier cannot be reached the service says so rather than inventing a status.
Ending it
You can close your account at any time from settings. Paid plans run to the end of the period you have paid for; we do not refund partial periods unless the law requires it.
We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, normally after warning you, and immediately where a breach is causing harm or is unlawful. You can export your shipment data as CSV at any time before closure, and for 30 days afterwards on request.
Liability
Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.
Subject to that, our total liability in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us in that period. We are not liable for lost profits, lost sales, or losses arising from carrier data being wrong, late or unavailable.
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes are emailed to account holders at least 30 days before they take effect, and continuing to use the service after that date means accepting them.
